Headliner band – Roots Movement – Ottawa’s premiere reggae band has been playing reggae for more than 10 years; they have kept this genre alive. They’re recognized as one of the greats of roots reggae in Ottawa, and their funky sound has captured the love of their fans.

Reggae Music is the Heartbeat of Jamaica! Today, Reggae giants still wave the traditional Reggae music flag high. Roots Reggae Extravaganza is proud to highlight Jamaican Artistes such as I-NOAH and Sycorah to deliver a cosmic blend of good reggae vibes.
Reggae Artist – Clayton Heslop aka “I-Noah” is on a promotional tour, promoting his single and upcoming album.
The musical warrior armed with messages of love and righteousness for a nation, which is in dire need of it. He infuses his reggae with soulfulness and consciousness, a true storyteller! It’s fair to say that I-NOAH is no stranger to Canada. In 2017, he gave so much electrifying performance at JAMDAY, Montreal International Reggae Festival, Big Daddy’s Boat Cruise in Gatineau, for his EP launch, Stages Canada and many more.

Sycorah – Jamaican based reggae singer, songwriter. Sycorah has just released the first single and official video for “Skin” (2017) from her forthcoming album “Rustique Energy” which is set to be released in 2019. She made her debut with the single ” SKIN “.
SYCORAH is one of the scene´s breakout stars, she keeps it authentic; mixed with that old soul depth and mystical balance.

Kwabena Simms – AKA Ras Kwabena, hails from Ghana and has found much spiritual inspiration from his African roots and culture. Drawing from the experiences and history of the people has allowed him to bring forth a sound that is rich and runs deep with spirit and passion.
You can feel the message in songs like “Rasta Soldier” and “Marcus Garvey”, creating awareness, a dialogue giving us all something to analyze and question. Ras Kwabena collaborated with, Ras Lee & The Vibes Band and The Roots Movement Band.

Shery Alexander Hein is an emerging poet in the poetry community in Ottawa, Canada. She was born and raised on the island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean, and currently lives and works in Ottawa. She wrote her first chapbook A Greater Whole in 2014, following which she decided to take the plunge and work at writing her first volume of poetry.
